I've long believed and this is something that appears in my science fiction stories - that China is going to play a major part in the future of humanity in space, and I think the Chinese space programme is a wonderful achievement not just for China but for the rest of the world. We live in a science fiction world - cloning, space stations, global communications networks -but our exploration of space was stalled for over 30 years since the Americans reached the moon. FINALLY someone is taking on the challenge of space again - and I hope this will also affect to revitalise other nations' space efforts. This is important for everyone, not just in China but all over the world, and I hope to see the Chinese space programme go from strengh to strength.
